Komodo National Park

The Komodo National Park is an unique nature-experience. As an UNESCO World-Heritage, the land and sea wildlife is incredible high in biodiversity. You can visit about 1000 fish species and 260 kinds of corals here. Therefore, there is no limit for you to experience here. After the precautions were set and thus dynamite-fishing was forbidden, the corals and many other animals came back to the Komodo National Park and their number increased, until today. The Komodo Archipelago is set in the area of the Small Sunda-Islands. The names of the three biggest islands are Rinca, Padar and Komodo. Of course, a lot of beautiful other smaller inslands can be visited there, too.

The most common way to have a look at these fascinating landscapes and to experience the Komodo-Wildlife, is to travel by boat. Most of them are called Phinisis, traditional boats from the times of spice-trading. Sailing on one of them through this island world and watching the wildlife and nature is such amazing.
